‘Eu Sei Que Vou Te Amar/Io Sono Che ti Amerò/I’m the One Who Will Love You’ is a masterpiece by Antonio Carlos Jobim & his eternal friend-minstrel Vinicius de Moraes. The single was recorded in 1959 by Maysa, much later in 1970 the version performed by Vinicius himself together with Maria Creuza & Toquinho appeared. Besides, this song was translated & performed in Italian by Sergio Bardotti.
The composition is rather popular in telenovelas. It was used in ‘Anjo Mau/Evil Angel’ (1997) & as a sound track in ‘Em Famìlia/Helena’s Shadow’ (2014).
In fact, this is a wonderful love poem ever expressed with music…Well, Vinicius de Moraes was a genius of creating rare love songs: ‘I’m the one who will love you all my life…’ ‘And in any verse of my own I will tell you that I will always love you…’ ‘And when you are away, I will cry…waiting to stay at your side all my life’. Blessed be the Muse who inspired him to create these incredible verses.
