Mercure Galant: Thesis on Aging & Natural Death

Esteemed Readers, if we believe that we have been advanced in medicine & moreover in comprehending natural processes of aging & death, we err. The science has aggressively developed after the Second War II has invented machines, but has lost much of the knowledge people has kept through centuries.

“Mercure Galant” published plenty of scientific theses on medicine & they contain more common sense than our modern medicine theories. I present your attention an abstract from a thesis dedicated to aging & causes of natural death written by a physician preferred to be left unknown. His theory is based on 4 simple principles: “A man must always guard his internal forces (the immune system), air, food & blood”. (1702!)

“Everybody knows that a human life, that is the union of Soul & Body, cannot suffer any alteration due to the first one, as it has no connection with other bodies of the universe except the one it is joined with. So I see no reason for anybody to search problems of aging in this…immortal sovereign  of the universe.

Therefore it is necessary to focus on the body we wear, on its various solide parts & liquids containing in vessels, as aging & the death come to us due to their (common) disfunction.

Mutual dependence of liquids & solide parts of our body to exercise its functions & mutual aid they cannot provide each other confuse where we must comprehend which of them belongs to destruction of this industrious machine (body). ” Then the author discusses importance of examining liquids as they have stronger impact on our organs. His thesis explain better why people of the past used bloodletting so often. And if we ponder over we will see the logic to purify blood after any illness.

Vive le Roy! 🙂

  1. As an aged one, I can attest to the wisdom of paying attention to the immune system, air, food, and fluids. This is why I have a glass of wine every day. I enjoyed this post, Maria. I’m still going to pass on the blood letting.

🙂 🙂 🙂 Thanks, dear John! Oh. well! There is a safe alternative to blood letting – herbs. And your American industry produces good items as I know. Cin-cin!

  2. I think you are quite right, Maria. A lot of people are looking for self sustaining solutions right now so there is going to be a return to a lot of old remedies.
