‘ I’m in vogue in France but I’m not rare at all. But when I’m common, I’m not esteemed. I’m skilled and by a strange force I often make something embarrassing. I can dare & begin everything. When I seem idle, yet I function & for my final work I cannot comprehend the way I have made it. I exist in all crafts both for peace & war. Without me nothing good can be done. I can simply run all over the world and I’m always in prison. Everywhere I’m searched, esteemed & loved. All desire to find me in various appeals.      Come! Search me but be very attentive! As if I don’t find myself, you’ll never find me too.’
