Louis XIV Asks Riddles V

Esteemed Readers!

I’m very happy to announce that the last riddle was guessed out by most of you! So, my congratulations! (John, a Louis XIV’s desk is waiting for you :-)). EYES is the right answer.

Here it is time for two next ones. And they are not as difficult as might seem. Just use the power of your imagination and some knowledge of allegories. Good luck!

ENIGMA I: We are picked up from the earth in a place where for your pleasure we make a war and where we are sent. We make a large cloud, but even a thunderstorm is unable to disperse us or to make us any trouble.

ENIGMA II: A dying voice gives birth to me and then it spreads me everywhere. I’m not nothing, but quite something and I stop existence of anything. Nobody hears me or says me a word. I can’t appear to be seen. I can’t be recognized through myself. Even a skillful man cannot penetrate into my essence. I’m a good company for a sick man. I make days and I enjoy nights. Who am I? Spirits admire me. I’m no more than what I’m and if I was able I would tell you this.

🙂 🙂 🙂

  1. OOOh. I’m so happy to have won the desk. I’ll come to pick it up. It is still at Versailles right?

  2. Great post, Maria.

  3. Ah, Maria, I am so bad at these riddles. I haven’t a single clue on either of these.
