Sphinx Asks Riddles IV

Esteemed Readers,

I would like to enter a New Year without unsolved riddles. 🙂 So, here is another 17th century enigma for your pleasure & the answer of the one of the third round. The last one turned out to be the most difficult of all. This time I did my best to present you something easier & shorter. Good luck!

  • Without shadow I’m a body, matter without matter,
  • I’m useful & beautiful, I’m pernicious,
  • From a still body I form the eyes,
  • And I’m born without having light.
  • Who am I?

REPLY to the riddle posted on November 4, 2017: A RAINBOW.

🙂 🙂 🙂
